Returns & Refunds

We want every Bubi piece to feel right at home. If something isn't working out, here's how returns work - written plainly, no fine print games.

1. When you can return

You have 14 days from the day your order arrives to request a return.

To be eligible, your item must be:

  • Unworn, unwashed, with tags still attached
  • In its original packaging
  • Accompanied by your order number or proof of purchase

For hygiene reasons, baby socks can only be returned if they're faulty.

2. Change of mind

Changed your mind? No worries. We accept change-of-mind returns within 14 days, as long as the item meets the conditions above.

A flat $10 return shipping fee applies to change-of-mind returns and will be deducted from your refund. Once your item is back with us and inspected, we'll process the rest.

3. Faulty or damaged items

Our products come with consumer guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You're entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if a product:

  • Has a major fault
  • Doesn't match its description
  • Isn't fit for its intended purpose
  • Is unsafe

For minor faults, we may choose to repair, replace, or refund within a reasonable time.

If something arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, email hello@bubiau.com with your order number and a few photos of the issue. We'll cover the return postage and sort it out for you - no $10 fee on faulty items.

4. Refund process

Once your return is back with us and has been checked, we'll let you know if it's been approved.

Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 5-10 business days, minus the $10 return shipping fee for change-of-mind returns. Some banks take a little longer to show the credit. If 15 business days have passed and you haven't seen it, please get in touch.

5. Exchanges

The fastest way to get the size or colour you want is to return the original and place a new order separately. If the exchange is due to a fault on our end, we'll cover the postage both ways.

6. What we can't accept back

  • Gift cards
  • Custom or personalised orders
  • Items returned outside the 14-day window (unless covered under Australian Consumer Law)

7. How to start a return

Email hello@bubiau.com with:

  • Your order number
  • The item(s) you'd like to return
  • A short reason why

We'll come back to you with the next steps. Please don't post anything before getting our go-ahead - returns sent without prior approval can't be processed.
